UKMED terms and conditions

The UK Medical Education Database (UKMED) has the following rules around user information retention:

  • If a UKMED user has not created an application, their account is disabled after three subsequent application cycles (18 months). Their personal information is remains as is.
  • If a UKMED user does not submit an application, but has drafted an application, their account is retired after three subsequent application cycles (18 months). Their personal information is replaced with their application identifier e.g. Applicant Name will be UKMEDPXXX and email will be applicantukmedpxxx@ukmed.ac.uk.
  • If a UKMED user submits an unsuccessful application, their account is retired after three subsequent application cycles (18 months). Their personal information is replaced with their application identifier e.g. Applicant Name will be UKMEDPXXX and email will be applicantukmedpxxx@ukmed.ac.uk.
  • If a UKMED user who submitted a successful application requests their account to be deleted, their account will be retired. Their personal information is replaced with their application identifier e.g. Applicant Name will be UKMEDPXXX and email will be applicantukmedpxxx@ukmed.ac.uk. If the user has published research from this application we will need to retain their personal details as per Research Process document).

All disabled and retired users are no longer able to login the system.
